Terms of service
These terms govern your use of acheronvault.com and any order you place through it. By using the site or placing an order you accept them. Please read them before you buy.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country you live in. Where a term here conflicts with such a right, that right prevails.
1. The site
Acheron Vault sells trading card accessories and related products, and offers a card restoration and evaluation service. You can reach us at any time through the contact form at acheronvault.com/pages/contact.
2. Who may buy
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and be legally able to enter into a contract. By ordering you confirm this is the case and that the information you give us is accurate.
3. Products
We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Colours vary between screens, and packaging and manufacturer artwork change without notice, so small differences between a photograph and the item you receive are not defects.
Products are subject to availability. Stock shown on the site is indicative and can change between the moment you add an item to your basket and the moment you pay.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in euro and include VAT where it applies. Shipping is added at checkout and is set out in our shipping policy. Duties and import taxes for destinations outside the European Union are not included and are your responsibility, as explained in that policy.
We can change prices at any time. A change never affects an order we have already accepted.
5. Placing an order
When you complete checkout you make an offer to buy. We then send you an order confirmation, which acknowledges that we received your order. That email is not acceptance.
The contract between us is formed when we dispatch your order and send you a dispatch confirmation, and it covers only the items named in that confirmation. If your order contains several items, we accept each as it is dispatched.
6. When we can decline or cancel an order
We may decline or cancel an order, in whole or in part, before dispatch. Reasons include an item being out of stock, a payment we cannot verify, an address we cannot ship to, an error in the price or description of an item, an order that appears to be for resale in quantities we do not supply, and a suspicion of fraud.
If we cancel after you have paid, we refund the amount in full. That refund is the limit of what we owe you for the cancellation.
7. Errors
The site is maintained by people and occasionally contains errors. Where an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price, or with a wrong description, we are not obliged to supply it at that price. We will contact you and give you the choice of confirming at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
8. Payment
Payment is taken through the providers shown at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your order is dispatched once payment is authorised and received.
9. Delivery
Delivery costs, carriers and estimated times are set out in our shipping policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
Risk in the goods passes to you when you, or someone you nominate, takes possession of them.
10. Cancellation and returns
Your right to cancel within 14 days, how to return goods, and how refunds work are set out in our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Faulty goods
Goods come with a legal guarantee of conformity of two years from delivery. If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, the remedies available to you are set out in the returns and refunds policy. Nothing in these terms limits that guarantee.
12. The card restoration and evaluation service
Restoration and evaluation are carried out with care and skill, but they involve judgement and they act on items that are already imperfect. We describe what we expect to achieve before we begin. We do not guarantee a particular outcome, a particular grade from any third-party grading company, or an increase in an item's value.
Any opinion we give on the condition, authenticity or value of an item is our opinion. It is not a certification and it is not investment advice.
13. Using the site
You may use the site for your own lawful purposes. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, disrupt it, scrape it systematically, use it to send unsolicited messages, or use it in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
14. Intellectual property
The site, its text, photographs, design and code belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
Brand names, logos and card artwork belong to their respective owners and appear here only to identify the products we sell.
15. Content from you
If you send us a review, photograph or other material, you allow us to use it to display and promote the products concerned. You confirm the material is yours to give and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. We may remove content that is unlawful, offensive or misleading.
16. Links to other sites
The site may link to services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
17. Availability of the site
We aim to keep the site available but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may suspend or withdraw it, in whole or in part, for maintenance or for any other reason.
18. Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, nor for loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity.
Where we are liable in connection with an order, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing here excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, including our obligations under consumer law and the legal guarantee of conformity.
19. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier and customs delays, strikes, extreme weather, failures of public networks and acts of public authorities. Where such an event occurs we will tell you and, if the delay is substantial, you may cancel the affected part of your order for a refund.
20. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
21. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, so it is worth reading them each time you buy.
22. If a term is invalid
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.
23. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by Greek law, and the courts of Greece have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
We would rather resolve a problem directly. Contact us first through the contact form and we will try to put it right.
